The Oscillating Abrasive Blast, or OAB, line travel machine (Model OAB2636 shown here) is designed for inthe- ditch pipeline surface preparation work. Its lightweight clam shell design allows for easy pipe mounting/removal and transporting between sections. Where required, the line traveling OAB also can work out-of-theditch.

The OAB is a nonrecovery air abrasive blast system which uses three oscillating blast nozzles for 360-degree pipe surface coverage. Any conventional abrasive media can be used. The OAB quickly, in a single pass, prepares the pipe surface to the desired finish and anchor pattern.
The system is fully automated and operated by remote control.

The remote controls, blast hoses, air supply lines and power cables are provided with the unit. The required support equipment (Model BSE) consists of a threeoutlet blast pot (or three single-outlet pots), air compressor and 5 kw generator.
